Continental Energy Programme in Africa – Update of the Continental Master Plan (CMP)

EnTC, as a subcontractor to the project will contribute from the position of the Modelling, Policy and Planning Expert, contributing to the comprehensive update of the Continental Master Plan (CMP), an initiative designed to optimize long-term power system development across Africa in alignment with regional master plans. This work entails refining CMP methodologies, particularly incorporating off-grid demand and e-mobility within demand forecasts and ensuring alignment with dynamic energy trends. We will support methodological updates in demand, generation, and transmission planning, and will ensure that scenario analyses incorporate the latest regional developments, inform updates through stakeholder consultation, and facilitate the structured rollout of planning phases, culminating in a data-driven CMP to guide investment and infrastructure prioritization across the continent
